Boulder
One of Colorado's many beautiful mountain cities, Boulder has much to recommend it. The Boulder Mountain Parks system includes the Flatirons, Flagstaff Mountain, and Boulder Falls and has 40 miles of trails for hiking and biking and the Boulder Reservoir, which is perfect for swimming, boating and picnicking. The town's history is a major draw as well, with exhibits on Southwestern Indians at CU, a renovated downtown historic pedestrian mall and street market, and several museums dedicated to the history of the city. The arts are well represented with several festivals, such as the Chautauqua Summer Festival and the Colorado Music Festival, both which take place in the historic outdoor Chautauqua Auditorium, which has an outstanding view of the city.
